I was introduced to Agnes Pelton’s work as a young art student, when my mother bought a book about her work. I instantly fell in love and have been a huge fan ever since. In March of 2020 The Whitney hosted an exhibition of her work, which due to COVID I was unable to visit, much to my chagrin. The article below, by New York Times art critic, Roberta Smith is a nice introduction to a long under appreciated painter.
